This in-person event will take place in Washington, D.C., focusing on sustainable transportation and clean mobility solutions. This workshop will build on the outcomes and suggestions from previous meetings, bringing together stakeholders from diverse industries working in sustainable transportation. The sessions will explore the role of various sectors in achieving MHDV by 2035, covering topics such as charging infrastructure, new technologies, grid reliability, and utility readiness. There will also be lunch roundtable discussions on smart regulation, MHDV and E.V. charging deployment, sustainable aviation fuels, and clean technology investment. Idle No More: Solutions for Reducing Fleet Idling in NYC
New York City has taken the enforcement approach through the Citizens Air Complaint Program, which deputizes citizens to record trucks with a cash reward of 25% of the fine. This program incentivizes punitive action against trucking companies without providing them with meaningful alternatives to idling. Fleets do not need more tickets – they need real solutions that will instill best practices and tools to eliminate the need to idle in most cases.
On Thursday, April 25th at 11:00 a.m., representatives from sustainability organizations and the trucking industry will gather to discuss what these solutions could be during an online webinar. Panel participants include:

2022 New York City Vision Zero Fleet Safety Forum | October 25, 2022Please save the date for the 2022 New York City Vision Zero Fleet Safety Forum. The Forum, sponsored by DCAS, brings together leaders in fleet and road safety representing private fleets, equipment suppliers, federal, state, and city agencies, non-profits, and universities. Through the fleet forum, New York City provides outreach within and outside of government to exchange best practices, promote vehicle safety technology, and to educate fleet managers about Vision Zero and road safety. Confirmed speakers for 2022 already include Stephanie Shaw (Safety Advocate, Office of Safety Recommendations and Communications at the National Transportation Safety Board), Jacy Good and Steve Johnson (from “Hang Up and Drive”), and Noah Budnick (Interim Executive Director Together for Safer Roads), as well as US DOT Volpe Center and representatives from major vehicle manufacturers. Pathways to Decarbonization in the NortheastEPRI’s 2019 U.S. Symposium Series provided Empire Clean Cities and all attendees with a deeper dive into the specific, regional issues and opportunities associated with end use electrification, and its costs and benefits. Co-hosted by Northeast Energy Efficiency Partnerships (NEEP) and Northeast States for Coordinated Air Use Management (NESCAUM), “Pathways to Decarbonization in the Northeast” brought together government and regulatory bodies with utilities, researchers, academia, manufacturers, vendors, and industry stakeholders to listen, learn, and network in two primary breakout tracks focused on buildings decarbonization and electric transportation. |

Thank you to everyone who attended the Empire Clean Cities' 11th Annual Stakeholder Meeting on May 16th, 2019 at the Queens Theatre. The event brought together industry leaders for cutting-edge discussions on emission reduction technologies and initiatives. This year's theme was "Driving the Future: Clean fuels, fleets and technologies" and included nearly 100 guests, 16 speakers, and honored Councilman Costa Constantinides. We were thrilled to once again host our Annual Stakeholder Meeting in conjunction with the 31st Annual NYC Parks' Equipment & Vehicle Show. |

The Regeneron Electric Vehicle Showcase in April 2019 featured the Honda Clarity PHEV and the Nissan Leaf on Regeneron's campus in Tarrytown, New York. Regeneron already offers employee EV charging on site. In celebration of Earth Day, Empire Clean Cities helped answer questions about how to save on the purchase of a new electric vehicle in New York State, taking advantage of federal and state rebates, the Smart Charge NY program, and Charge to Work NY. |
