Vision Zero Fleets Forum November 29 2016 Queens Theatre in the Park NYC hosted Vision Zero Fleets Safety Forums in each of the last two years to focus on best practices that private and public fleets can use to improve pedestrian and driver safety. We have seen exciting progress including NYC’s new law mandating truck side guards on City owned trucks and commercial waste vehicles, a new regulation banning hands-free devices for drivers of NYC fleet vehicles, and increased dialogue between fleet owning organizations. Please join us again to discuss developments in the last year and to help chart a course moving forward. Panels will address emerging technologies, driver distraction, training, and driver input. Presentations and panels will feature representatives from private and public fleets, companies specializing in safety technologies, and government officials and non-profits focused on transportation safety.

This event is free. Breakfast and lunch will be provided.

Tuesday, November 29, 2016 8:30 AM to 1:30PM Queens Theatre, Flushing Meadows Corona

FUTURE FREIGHT: DEFINING PROGRESS POST-PARIS

DATE AND TIME

Tuesday November 1, 2016 12:00 pm-4:00 pm EDT

LOCATION

New York Grand Hyatt New York 109 East 42nd Street at Grand Central Terminal

Freight is the fastest-growing segment of transport-related climate emissions, and yet the gap between expectations by regulators and stakeholders and the commercially available solutions for companies is enormous.

BSR’s Future of Fuels will host its latest stakeholder forum to discuss key questions with members PepsiCo, Royal Dutch Shell, The Coca Cola Company, United Parcel Service (UPS), Walmart, and Westport Innovations, as well as other stakeholders. Questions we'll discuss will include:

  • What is the North Star for freight sustainability in the United States and globally?
  • How do companies define progress? What are the milestones?
  • What are the key gaps for companies to address? Government? Collaboration?

This is an official side event of the BSR Conference 2016.
